Students have been learning about the road leading to the Declaration of Independence by studying how the King of England treated the colonists and the events that pushed them toward rebellion. To demonstrate their understanding, the students (acting as the colonists) are creating breakup text messages to Britain and using Book Creator to present and explain their reasoning.

Mrs. Lee's 6th graders have been diving into the amazing world of cells and the invention of the microscope! Over the past week, students have been learning all about microscopes—identifying each part, understanding how it functions, and practicing how to properly and safely use one.
This day was especially exciting as students examined a variety of cells and specimens under the microscope. They were fascinated by the different slides, observing everything from a pumpkin stem to an insect leg.
