Today, a group of Bethel-Tate High School students took a big step toward their futures by signing up for LinkedUp Connect! They completed their profiles and a Career Clusters Inventory to help match them with the best work-based learning opportunities.
This is just the beginning of their journey toward gaining real-world experience and building connections in their career fields of interest.
On Monday, March 3, Bethel-Tate High School teamed up with bi3, Hopeful Empowered Youth (HEY!), Interact for Health, and The Joe Burrow Foundation to celebrate World Teen Mental Wellness Day. World Teen Mental Wellness Day is a day to remind people, especially teens, that their voice matters in the conversation about mental health. When people share their stories, they create a ripple effect- stopping the stigma, inspiring others to seek help and reminding peers that they are never alone. Bethel-Tate High school took an hour out of the school day to put together activities to promote the importance of mental wellness and show how much we care for our students. Students were free to walk around, use fidget toys, play board and card games, go to the gym to play basketball and volleyball, or spend some face-to-face quality time at our “talk tables” with staff members and friends. We want our students to appreciate and find healthy ways to promote mental wellness both in school and at home.
