One of our 1st grade classrooms is participating in a challenge to earn 10 compliments toward 30 minutes of extra recess. This morning Mrs. Patrick's students were standing very quietly in the hall. She gave them a much deserved compliment. As they were waiting for students to finish in the restroom, Timothy and a staff member came around the corner. As they walked by the class, Timmy looked at them and said "Good Job". So the teacher let Timmy have the honor of crossing two numbers off the chart!
The Art Show for William Bick Primary and Hill Intermediate students will be held on April 28th from 4:30 - 8:00 PM. It will take place at Hill Intermediate with art work for all students from both buildings on display. Mrs. Jessica Blankenship will be in charge of this event.
Events happening this week are the Parent Cafe Night on Tuesday beginning at 5:30 PM and the Family Dance Night on Saturday beginning at 6:00 PM
Kindergarten is learning all about plants. Yesterday they learned that bees have a very important job: to spread pollen to help plants grow. Here they are with their own "bees" spreading pollen. #BTTigerCubs

On Thursday, April 6th William Bick Primary will be holding a registration night for students that will be enrolling in Preschool and Kindergarten for the 2023-24 school year. It will be from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM in the cafeteria. Chromebooks will be available for parents that need to complete Final Forms. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday night.
William Bick Primary celebrated one of our second grade students, Aria Smith, in grand fashion on Friday. Aria accomplished something very few students at the Primary school do, becoming a Classic Reader! Through our Accelerated Reader program, students progress through the different levels. In most cases, students will make it approximately halfway through the program by the time they complete Second Grade. However, once in a while, we have a student like Aria that will surpass the expectations and reach the top! All of the staff and students celebrated with her on Friday by lining the hallways and applauding her accomplishment. We are all very proud of Aria! Well done!

Here at William Bick we love our facility dog Barkley! On February 27th Mrs. Patrick’s class accepted a behavior challenge. If they received 10 compliments from other adults in the building, they would give Barkley a bone! They received their tenth compliment on Friday and presented Barkley with her bone today! Today ALL the kindergarten kids will come home with a pillow and a new bed time story from Empower Youth. As part of their “Dream Big” program, Empower Youth came into our school today and encouraged all the students to “dream big!” They also talked about the importance of a good nights sleep.
