The Bethel-Tate Varsity Baseball team continued its strong play this past weekend at the Doc Morris Tournament, finishing 3-0 with wins over Bellevue (14-3), Ludlow (7-5), and Nicholas County (9-8). The Tigers have now won seven straight games and improve to 7-3 on the season.
Bethel-Tate opened the tournament with a 14-3 victory over Bellevue. The Tigers’ offense set the tone early, building a lead and maintaining control throughout the game with consistent hitting and aggressive baserunning.
In game two, Bethel-Tate defeated Ludlow 7-5. A five-run fourth inning proved to be the difference, as the Tigers collected 10 hits and continued to apply pressure offensively. The pitching staff and defense limited Ludlow’s opportunities late to secure the win.
The tournament wrapped up with a 9-8 win over Nicholas County. Bethel-Tate jumped out to an early lead, but Nicholas County battled back to keep things close. The Tigers responded late and made key plays defensively to hold on and complete the tournament sweep.
With the three wins, Bethel-Tate extends its current win streak to seven games and continues to gain momentum as the season progresses.
