At the CCD Invitational, the Bethel-Tate girls turned in an outstanding team performance, finishing 2nd overall with 111 points. The girls showed strong balance across sprints, relays, hurdles, distance races, and field events, putting together one of their most complete meets of the season so far.
Sasha Brandenburger led the way with a huge day, winning the 100-meter hurdles in a personal-record 18.43 and also winning the high jump at 4-8. Grace Tolliver added another event title by winning the pole vault at 6-0, and she also placed 7th in the 100-meter hurdles. Bethel-Tate also got a major boost from the 4x100 relay team of Avery Blankenship, Cori Mahan, Sasha Brandenburger, and Raegin Jasontek, which took 1st in 54.23.
The girls continued to pile up points in the relays and distance events. The 4x400 relay team of Raegin Jasontek, Sasha Brandenburger, Peyton Thomas, and Addison Johns placed 2nd in 4:43.35, while the 4x800 relay team of Peyton Thomas, Addison Johns, Samantha Bolick, and Annabel Reed also placed 2nd in 12:22.84. In individual events, Raegin Jasontek placed 3rd in the 400 in 1:06.49, Peyton Thomas was 5th in the 400 in 1:09.38, and Addison Johns took 4th in the 300-meter hurdles in 56.19. In the distance races, Sarah Bolick had an outstanding meet with a 2nd-place finish in the 3200 and a 5th-place finish in the long jump, while Adelyn Fisher added a 3rd-place finish in the 3200. Annabel Reed placed 5th in the 1600, Clara Reed was 6th, and Adelyn Fisher also added an 8th-place finish in the 800. Attisen Rubenstein scored for the girls with an 8th-place finish in the shot put.
On the boys’ side, Bethel-Tate was led by several strong field-event performances. Colin Morsbach placed 2nd in the pole vault at 10-6, and Matthew Boyer added a 5th-place finish in the pole vault at 7-0. In the throws, Mike Giwer placed 4th in the shot put and 7th in the discus, while Noah Brock finished 5th in the discus. The boys also picked up points from Eli Selm, who placed 7th in the long jump, and Tristan Speigel, who finished 7th in the 1600. Overall, the meet showed strong progress across both teams, highlighted by event wins, relay success, and a number of important scoring performances.
