Coach Mays Meet Summary:

Our Bethel-Tate team had a strong showing at the Mariemont McKee Kiwanis Invitational, turning in season-best efforts, big PRs, and a wave of momentum heading into next week’s league meet.

The day started with a great performance from our girls 4x800m relay team—Peyton Thomas, Clara Reed, Lily Hathcock, and Addison John’s—who came away with 3rd place and set the tone early with a tough, competitive race.

Grace Tolliver had one of her best races yet in the 100m hurdles, running a big PR of 17.73 to finish 3rd. In the distance events, Brady Sterbling ran away with the win in the 3200m, and Clara Reed continued to drop time in the mile, earning 4th place with another PR.

Raegin Jasontek added to the team score with a 6th-place finish in the 400m dash. Noah Mays also shined individually, taking 2nd in the 300m hurdles with a strong new PR.

Both 4x400m relay teams capped off the day with season-best performances. On the girls’ side, Raegin Jasontek, Cori Mahan, Peyton Thomas, and Addison John’s powered to 3rd place, while the boys team of Carter Cook, Noah Mays, Reese Orick, and Nathanael Randolph ran with great energy to grab 4th. That same crew also teamed up earlier for a 5th-place finish in the 4x200m.

A special shoutout goes to Samantha Bolick, who tackled the 3200m for the first time ever and finished in 14:39—a huge accomplishment that showed her determination and toughness.

All in all, it was one of our most complete team efforts this season—just the kind of meet we needed to head into the league championships with confidence and momentum.
