Coach Mays Meet Summary:
At the Milford Invitational, the Bethel-Tate track & field team delivered one of its strongest performances of the season, earning nine top-6 finishes and celebrating personal breakthroughs across every event group.
One of the day’s most exciting moments came from Clara Reed, who ran 5:59.45 in the 1600m to break the 6-minute barrier for the first time in her career. Her performance earned her 8th place and marked a major step forward in a season of steady growth and rising confidence.
In the distance events, Brady Sterbling earned a 2nd-place finish in the 3200m, running 11:28.92 and continuing her stretch of consistently strong performances. In the field, Noah Brock broke through in the shot put, throwing a personal best of 41’7” to place 5th, breaking the 40-foot barrier for the first time. He also placed 8th in the discus with a mark of 115’11”.
Grace Tolliver had an excellent day on the track and in the field, running 17.96 in the 100m hurdles to place 5th and break the 18-second mark for the first time, and finishing 6th in the pole vault by clearing 7’6”.
In the sprints, Raegin Jasontek ran 13.67 in the 100m dash to take 6th place, and Noah Mays placed 6th in the 300m hurdles with a strong time of 44.05.
In the relays, the boys 4x200m team of Carter Cook, Noah Mays, Reese Orick, and Nathanael Randolph finished 6th with a time of 1:37.45, setting the tone for a strong day from Bethel-Tate’s sprinters. The girls 4x400m relay of Raegin Jasontek, Peyton Thomas, Cori Mahan, and Addison Johns ran a well-executed race to finish 4th in 4:37.57. Closing out the meet, the boys 4x400m team of Carter Cook, Noah Mays, Reese Orick, and Nathanael Randolph returned to the track and earned another 6th-place finish with a time of 3:46.72.
This team continues to show fight and a determination to continue improving!
