COVID-19 UPDATE: March 12, 2020
As of March 11, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announced that he and the Ohio Department of Health Director Amy Acton, M.D. MPH, have recommended that large, indoor gatherings in Ohio be canceled or postponeddue to the potential for coronavirus (COVID-19) exposure.
In response, the Bethel-Tate Local School District is canceling all before- and after-school activities, programs, and field trips effective immediately. We will evaluate opportunities to reschedule these programs if possible. In addition, no volunteers will be permitted in our school buildings beginning on Monday, March 16 until further notice.
Governor DeWine has recommended that all indoor high school, college, and professional sports
competitions be held without spectators. He asks that events take place only with athletes, parents, sporting officials, and media. Right now, outdoor sporting events can continue as planned. The district will follow the recommendations of the Ohio High School Athletic Association (OHSAA) and adjust schedules as those recommendations are updated.
Thank you for your support and understanding during this time of rapidly-changing information and circumstances. We will continue to provide updates as needed to keep our school community safe and healthy.
