Students who are gifted present unique needs, as they may differ from their age-level peers in abilities, talents, interests, and/or maturity. The Bethel-Tate Local School District strives to provide an environment where these students can thrive, providing accelerated and enriched instruction that is grounded in research-based practices.

The Bethel -Tate Local School District screens and identifies students who perform or show potential for performing at high levels of accomplishment in the areas of superior cognitive ability, specific academic ability, creative thinking ability, and/or visual and/or performing arts. The district adheres to the Ohio Revised Code for this process and utilizes assessments approved by the Ohio Department of Education.

Our district offers gifted services through the Bethel-Tate Gifted STEM Program in grades 1-8 for students identified with superior cognitive ability, specific academic ability in reading and/or specific academic ability in mathematics.  In grades 7-12, gifted students may be served with advanced, accelerated, honors, and College Credit Plus courses.
