Hats Off To Reading

The Accelerated Reader program has been used with great success, and we will continue to encourage students to read through the use of this program.  Our theme for this year is “Hats off to Reading.”  Each student has his/her own goal and will read to earn the incentives.  A series of recognition events is planned to celebrate the success of individuals, classes, and the whole school. 

Our schoolwide goal for the first trimester is for each classroom to maintain an average of 85% or higher on A.R. quizzes.  We are displaying progress on a large graph located in the cafeteria.  In addition, students who are achieving the 85% goal are permitted to wear a hat to lunch and recess each Friday.  Encourage our students to read, read, read in order to reach their goals.
